The Foundation of the Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Brand was laid as early as 1731.
Ever since, the dedication to uncompromising quality in form and function has been at the heart of the Zwilling Brand.
This quest for innovation has inspired Zwilling J.A. Henckels to take another step into the future and commissioned the International acclaimed architect and designer Matteo Thun with the challenge to design a knife in its purest form. Matteo Thun has worked for Porsche, WMF, Illy, Missoni, Villeroy & Boch, Campari and Bulgari. In the 80s, he was a founding member of the Milan-based “Memphis” design movement.
Henckels TWIN 1731 captivates with its unobtrusive, straight and self-explanatory design. It intuitively conveys a feeling of familiarity and safety. A knife in its purest shape. Henckels TWIN 1731 is a Classic that merges the art of knife forging, the material and the form. Form follows function. Function follows vision and vision follows reality. The result is beauty as in the Henckels TWIN 1731 knives.
