The Shun Sora Ultimate Utility Knife doesn't look traditional, but it is amazingly versatile. The low-frequency serration on the cutting edge makes it perfect for slicing delicate thin-skinned fruits and vegetables, yet it can also be used for chopping and slicing. The Sora Ultimate Utility Knife features a wide blade with rounded tip that makes it perfect for spreading mayo on a sandwich, then the serrations work like a bread knife to cut the sandwich in half without tearing. Try it and you'll be surprised at how often you'll find yourself reaching for this amazing multi-function knife.

Product Reviews for Shun Sora Ultimate Utility Knife 6 in. (15.2 cm) Blade
The Sora knife line uses Shun's proprietary Composite Blade technology to bring together a VG10 san mai cutting edge with a Japanese 420J stainless steel upper. This technology puts high-performance material exactly where it's needed—on the edge. The two blade sections are laser cut, then fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Braze welding permanently joins them. The attractive wavy pattern at the joint is based on traditional Japanese sword hamon lines. While Sora's blade shapes and handle design are traditional Japanese, the textured PP/TPE polymer blend handle material provides a contemporary look, secure grip and balance, and is easy to maintain.
